Media Converters / Ethernet Demarcation Devices Media converters provide a transparent Ethernet link between copper and optical fiber medium. Raisecom offers a wide array of product portfolio for copper to fiber and fiber to fiber media conversion in the following supported protocols: 10/100/1000 Ethernet, T1/E1, DS3/E3, POTS, RS232, RS485, SONET/SDH and CWDM; also interfaces for different speeds, fibers, and transmission distances.
To meet the most stringent carrier requirements, Raisecom's innovative EDD series supports full 802.3ah and 802.1ag OAM standards. And, with its uniquely integrated Layer 3 protocol stack, it provides a clear demarcation point between carriers’ and users’ networks by assigning a secondary IP address for remote management and diagnostic purposes.
